Learning about blogs is obviously an ongoing process - I've just edited a couple of posts that were in my saved files and having diddled around with them, I clicked the post button. They've shown up in the date that they were originated rather than in today's date - go figure:)

  1. Yup! I'm a "newbie" to blogging also and learned this lesson experientially, just as you did. It's always the little things that trip one up. However, in the scheme of things it's just a blip on the radar. The more frustrating thing is when I spend days creating a post and it disappears unexpectedly (I still haven't figured out how that happens) and I have to start over because there's no "undo" function to recapture it. Sigh!

This also happens occasionally when leaving comments (it just did here this morning actually) but I'm taking it all as "practice" and remembering to breathe and relax ... trusting all things work together for good ... even when I want to scream in frustration! LOL

  2. ....sometimes when posts in progress disappear I find them in the editing section just sitting there like a dog at the door:) Good luck. Thanks for the comment.

  3. if you want to update your blog to the current date, COPY the text, then PASTE the text onto a new post page. the new post page will reflect current date. but, be careful, because if you do it successfully then you will have 2 versions of the same post - one with the current date and another one with old date. you will then have to go and delete the old one.

    good luck!

  5. sunrise sister,

thank you so much for that link to another one of gehry's creations! i am continually being amazed by his enormous talent. i find his architecture to be simply, not a building, but a work of art.

and, thank you for stopping by and visiting. i look forward to reading more of your posts.

    best,
    rebecca

  6. One thing about copying and pasting posts to fix the date (then deleting old drafts) -- if they include a picture, be sure to remove the check mark by the photo or else it will disappear from the new post too and you'll need to upload it all over again. Also experience teaches that both posts will show up in Google Reader (though not on your Blog). The deleted one leads anyone who clicks on it to a Blogger error page.
    Hugs,
