Well, I'm not quite sure what I've signed up for, it's free, sounds positive, and someone, I apologize for being unable to get a good link in here!!! came up with this nifty logo. The initials, GWCC, can be unraveled at Christine Kane they stand for - gossip-whine-criticism-complaint; can one really get along better in life without the actions that go along with these four little words? I'm always up for a challenge....

  1. If I signed up for this I'd have to quit writing

  2. i guess it doesn't stand for great western casualty co., huh?

i saw another lucy signed up, but ha ha it wasn't me. not to criticize, but what were you thinking?!?!?,

and, i don't really think blurts count. does it count if you keep the GWCC inside your own head in conversation with your own self?

let me know how it goes :-)

  3. It's a self-defined practice, y'all--it is what you make of it. I've been giving it my best shot for 19 days, and while I have not gotten very far without having to start over (again and again), I have also come to realize the importance of paying more attention to how much I was gossiping, whining, criticizing and complaining.

There's value in the journey, which is a blessing. After all, we can never be assured of reaching the end of it.

Thanks for stopping by my spot, Sunrise Sister.

  4. Hey, everybody, thanks for the comments.

Lucy - I didn't think there was another Lucy in the world, I figured you were a shoe-in on this - rats! Oh, well, I'm giving it a go anyway.

Rick - I think it sounds like a great self-discipline and in the last 24 hours I find that my "elephant in the room" is criticism/judging - I have a personal, mostly internal thought about everyone I see. I guess that's o.k. but I know that I'm too harsh. I also know that harshness oftimes leads to criticism of myself in the same harsh manner. So, I am going to give the GWCC a go, at least for a while.

And, by the way, I stopped into to view the architecture you referred to in Denver....the site gave me lots of information and cool inside stuff but I never found a real photo of the outside facade, itself:(

  5. Sis--I'll see if I can track down an exterior shot which does the place justice. It's a challenge, because the building literally spans a four-lane-wide main thoroughfare, so you can imagine trying to cram it all into a camera lens!

By the way, you are tagged! (see my blog for details)

  6. Hmmm ... I've seen this card know about the challenge (even blogged about it recently with a link to 37 Days) but I've not found the HMTL code anywhere and am wondering how you got it on your site. I certainly don't need one more thing to do, but am considering taking on THIS challenge or the One Thing, Be Brave challenge once my 30 day commitment to My Sacred Life is finished in a few more days. I plan to switch to Sacred Life Sunday posting just once weekly on this topic rather than daily.

And ... I wanted to let you know you're "tagged" for "7 Random Things" ... You'll find the Rules at Small Reflections today (along with MY list). I hope you'll accept the challenge and look forward to learning a bit more about you (and the others I've tagged. :)
    Hugs and blessings,

  7. Alas, I didn't take time to read Rick's comment above mine so I didn't know you'd already been tagged for this, but ... perhaps when (or if) you accept our mutual challenge, you can add a link to both of our sites? (or at least let me know where or when you post your list of & Random Things?) or not ... because it IS optional :)
