I am drawn to Archibald by the last phrase (though being warned by my primer not to judge the total by a portion) read this morning of his work entitled "ARS POETICA" - last verse
"A poem should not mean
But be"
A POEM FROM MIND SIEVE
A poem from within, whatever rhyme or meter
Solitary theme that tiptoes across my heart
Mattering not what others think, believe or understand
A poem that captures, grasps my being and slips out of my pen
As quickly as tears come with no tissue in hand
It would, no doubt, surprise Archibald to know that he has made a difference in a life so far removed from his. "Thank you, Mr. Macleish - it's a pleasure to meet you!"
i like the impact mr. macleish has made :-) this poem feels very heartfelt and throws the standard rhyme and meter to the wind. your poetry is growing well!!! bravo. xxooxoxxoo
