Not so logical........having spent 31 days on an ocean liner, where did we choose to spend our one San Diego afternoon prior to the flight home? Well, the nearest Maritime Museum, of course! This submarine seemed quite a bit less luxurious than the SS Rotterdam, but amazing to visit. I CANNOT imagine being on, in and under the sea in such a vessel cruising in the vast expanse of Pacific ocean that we've just had the pleasure of viewing from the surface side! A tip from the sailor in the picture - take a read over at Country Parson's site for some beginning insight into our ocean voyage/adventure........ | ||||||

ReplyDeleteHey Maureen - glad to see you here! A little slow getting back into blogging this week:)

That is a great photo!
ReplyDeleteWhen I have watched movies that take place in Submarines I have had the same thought. I cannot imagine being underwater with no windows for long periods of time. I think I would get tremendously claustrophobic. What an existence! I don't even like being in buildings without windows, well except movie theaters. But even shopping places I feel like I have fallen into some other reality that feels completely timeless and removed. Anyhow you look like you are the perfect size for that sub. Hope you had an incredible time in you travels.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture.

Hi everyone, Thanks for checking on the site and your comments on the photo. I'm back online as of today:) xo
ReplyDeleteBTW Katherine - submarines are TOO tight for me. I only agreed to go on this one as my dad was a submarine sailor in his youth and I thought for the reason alone, I should check it out! Again, TOO tight for me!!!
