How deep is your snow - Part Two

Keeping Tuesday's post in mind - or maybe you should just page down and reread it quickly - o.k.....

With the idea of your faith as that snow covered peak - just how deep is your snow?

Is your snow deep enough to sustain your well being through all seasons
Is it deep enough to quench your own thirst
Do you want to share it with others
Do you allow it to seep into the cracks/questions that those you meet have
Does your faith trickle down to others gently or does it rush down and flood, maybe even drown them before they're ready to even wade
Does your snow pack exist even when it seems all forces are against it
Is your snow pack strong enough to walk on, to snowshoe on, to even ski on
Is your snow pack strong enough to stake your life on it

Saccharine sentimentality, sort of -
but the Sieve simply asks you again, to sort out - how deep is your snow?

  1. The snowpack, the hope we have for summer irrigation for crops and sustained ground water levels, is an interesting and thoughtful metaphor for faith. I like that idea, and the more I think of it, the truer it is.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

  2. Hi Wren - thanks for your comment - Having received a funny remark from one of my Canada readers, on the first "how deep" indicates they've had quite enough of the deep snow:)

    Glad to hear from you.
