Why do I think that "pop personality quizzes" often appeal more to the female than male gender? Obviously, a thought that has been honed over years of observation?? .... I don't know, but I suspect that some of you will be clicking off right now when you see that I'm posting so-called results of such a quiz:) - found over at Lucy's place this week. Well, don't be bored or annoyed - for me, they're like reading horoscopes - if you like or agree somewhat with the test results then you share it, if you don't like or disagree then nobody ever knows you took it:) Here goes nothin'.....
Your Personality at 35,000 Says... |
Deep down, you vastly prefer being with others to being alone. You love to engage people in conversation. You are good with your place in the world. You are confident and comfortable with who you are. Your gift is dreaming and imagining. You can take yourself to another world anytime you feel like it. You are inspired by almost anything. You don't have many mental blocks. You are happy but often stressed out. If you can slow down and appreciate life, you enjoy it a lot more. |
So, obviously I agree with most of it or you wouldn't have found it here to read......the only real disagreement would be with the mental blocks sentence. I do believe that I come up against those and the stressed out part, slowing down is a real aid and tool - just "breathing" into that thought is helpful.
So do you take pop quizzes and read your horoscope sometimes, never, don't believe in that stuff?

this was one of the more interesting quizzes i have seen lately. oddly, enough the first two comments on my blog were from men. hmmmm... although i am not sure they took the quiz, they did take time to comment which does not always/often happen.
ReplyDeletethe other odd thing was that as i read this, i thought i was on tess' site and so then was quite confused to wonder why she was showing one of your photos that i had never seen. (maybe i lost too much oxygen to my brain while taking the 35000 feet test).
if i were a partridge i would much rather live in a pear tree than not live on a platter. how's that for an answer? :-)
I took that quiz on lucy's blog and I was rather dissatisfied with the results. I, too, got the comment that "deep down, [I] vastly prefer being with others to being alone. [I] love to engage people in conversation." Now, IF that is based on the answer to the first question about whether I preferred a window or an aisle seat, it fails to understand my reason for preferring the aisle seat. I find it less claustrophobic in today's cramped airlines and it is easier to get up and go the bathroom or just walk up and down. I rarely talk to anyone on a plane and they rarely engage me in conversation.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, I like to take those quizzes because they are such fun.
Hey Lucy and Barbara, Thanks for the comments. My favorite male took the little quiz too after a little urging from me. I thought it sort of characterized him but he didn't think so.....just like I said, like it? talk about it. Don't? don't:)
